Reading about the preparations for the NEET-UG re-exam feels like reading a security briefing for an election or a high-profile state visit—drone surveillance, three-tier police deployment, paramilitary forces, and Section 163 public restrictions within 200 meters of the venues. While we absolutely need fair exams, does transforming an educational institution into a high-security zone inadvertently harm student performance? Standing in massive biometric lines surrounded by armed personnel and frisking staff right before writing one of the most high-stakes tests of your life must place an immense psychological burden on these young aspirants.
