Those who are currently pursuing my Master’s degree in the US and was hoping to transition directly into an MBA program at the same university afterward. Under the newly proposed fixed stay rules, will students looking to change educational levels be forced to return to their home country to reapply for a new visa, or can this change of status still be processed entirely within the United States? The added paperwork and risk of family stress are making me rethink my timeline.
